This is a review of the companies and services we used during our 7 night cruise and 2 day stay in Miami, Florida.
Our cruise visited: Caymen Islands, Mexico, Belize City and Honduras.
VACATIONSTOGO.com
10/10
From the beginning to the end, I had such an amazing experience with this company.
I had called a few other companies before I found this one and none other helped us out or provided so much information like this one.
I couldn’t decide on which ports we wanted to visit, but our Agent was so patient, understanding and didn’t make me feel rushed to decide.
E-mails were always answered promptly and telephone calls were always returned within minutes, if I left a msg.
I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to book a cruise or resort.
The prices were very good and the service was superb.
DELTA
5/10
The only reason I chose “5” was because our experience was on both sides of the spectrum.
They only charged us for a one way ticket for Rheon, who turned 2 while we were on our trip (unlike some other airlines who required us to buy a two way ticket for Rheon), which was awesome.
The agent was very helpful and friendly.
BUT…the day we were leaving, the flight was delayed.
We sat around in the airport, not knowing what was going on.
They didn’t make any types of announcements informing us of the situation.
Only when we kept asking them about the delay, did they try and find alternatives, like flying us to another airport.
This was quite frustrating as we had an impatient toddler and just wanted to get to our destination.
On the way back, things ran smoothly BUT when we got home and unpacked our luggage, we noticed that a few things were stolen from our luggage.
This had never happened with any other airlines before.
The only time we will fly again with Delta is if the price difference between them and other airlines are significantly lower. If they are not, we will most likely never fly with them again.
CARNIVAL CRUISE LINES
10/10
I don’t even know where to begin.
This was our first cruise and we enjoyed it immensely.
I somewhat hesitated right after booking our cruise, that it might be stressful for us and a little too much for a toddler.
Those hesitations flew right out the window, the minute we entered the doors to embark on the ship.
Right when entering, they noticed our stroller and we were taken right to the front of the line-up, avoiding an hour wait.
Throughout the entire week, Rheon’s meals were served before ours.
There were so many meal choices for Rheon, that he never went hungry.
Each person stopped to say HELLO to our son and wore a smile on their face all day.
The staff was friendly and went out of their way to ensure that we had a good time.
Everyone, from the housekeeping staff to the servers in the dining room were amazing!
Rheon was too young to participate in the Camp Carnival program but I’ve only heard good reviews about it.
The food. Oh man, the food!
We had 4 meals every day and could have probably ate more, if we didn't have to get off the ship for our ports.
The food was always fresh and TASTY!
There were many different choices, that even a picky eater would have no problems finding something to eat.
From Buffets, to Fish and Chips to the Burrito station, there was always something new to try out.
(They said that the average Cruiser gains 2lbs a day while on a Cruise, which is totally believable)
Carnival Cruises are known as the “fun ship” and it was definitely FUN to be on the ship.
Shows, the Casino, Deck parties and nightly movies out on the deck are only some ways they tried to keep us entertained.
There were so many things to do and see, that even the “fun day at sea” was fun.
DAYS INN by the AIRPORT, Miami
4/10
I chose this hotel because of the location and price.
It was very close to the airport and the hotel offered a free shuttle service from and to the airport, which was amazing.
Other than that, there is nothing close to this hotel, other than a McDonald’s and a store where you can pick up cheap alcohol, which we did before our Cruise.
The hotel overall is a cheap alternative to other more pricier ones.
For our purpose, to stay 1 day before the cruise and 1 day after, it served its purpose.
If we were to go to Miami to spend a week, I would avoid this hotel.
It was very far from Downtown and from the Beach.
(The taxi ride from the Pier to the Hotel was $30)

So I got a new computer in the middle of October, it is a Toshiba Satellite A500/040, came with Windows vista Home premium. I got a Windows 7 upgrade disc that is only for my computer. I have upgraded my Laptop to windows 7 and am now having troubles... I think I picked up a few viruses and I am wanting to re-install windows to get my laptop back to normal. The only problem is I am not entirely sure if I can re-use the Upgrade disc. Does anyone know if I can? And if not, what I can do? Thanks in advance for any help and have a great New Year
